Last week we released the introductory report of Canada's first-ever series of exit interviews with former Members of Parliament. Our goal is ultimately to encourage a greater understanding of Canada's public life, draw attention to things that are working well and contribute to a constructive discussion on what can be improved.
In that spirit, we were happy that the report generated some good discussion in the media. I've posted links to a few samples here:
- An interview on CBC Radio's The Current, which includes a discussion with former MPs John Godfrey, Jean Augustine and Monte Solberg on some of the report's themes;
- Another interview, this time on TV, with Rosemary Barton on CBC's Power and Politics. The segment begins at the 1:47 mark;
- A blog by Andrew Potter, from Maclean's;
- An excerpt, entitled "A House of outsiders and idealists," by Aaron Wherry, from Maclean's.
In the spirit of debate, we hope you will join the discussion here, on any of the above sites, or contact us with any feedback.
LABELS:
The Accidental Citizen, political leadership, Andrew Potter, CBC, The Current, Aaron Wherry, Rosemary Barton
