Our brains are still digesting last night's fabulous talk by the director of the Pew Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism, Tom Rosenstiel. Rosenstiel was in Toronto presenting some of the findings and discussing the implications of Pew's annual State of the News Media report.
We'll have video and written summaries available on our website in the coming week or so. In the meantime, please peruse any of the following:
- A piece by the Toronto Star's public editor, who poses a number of important questions.
- An edited version of an interview with Rosenstiel, conducted by a Globe and Mail reporter. Questions include Canada/US comparisons, paywalls and (shocker!) the IPad.
- The actual Pew report itself.
The Twitter-sphere also chimed in. Yes, Samara needs a new hashtag so not to compete with the Russian region of the same name. #samaracda?
