It’s been a busy fall here at Samara headquarters, one marked by a number of exciting changes and accomplishments. Perhaps most notable - in addition to releasing our final and most extensive instalment of the MP exit interview project - is that since September, we've gained 3 new staff members, bringing the Samara team to a total of 8.
Despite our relative growth, Samara remains a small organization driven by big ideas – an identity we have proudly maintained since our inception in 2009. But like many non-profits, this would not have been possible without the dedicated volunteers who’ve contributed to our work along the way. From writing and research to event organization and design, volunteers have provided Samara with an invaluable source of inspiration and expertise from the very beginning.
As we approach our third year, we’d like to remind our supporters of the different ways they can get involved in our work. We recently updated the “Get Involved” section of our website with some new opportunities, and we actively encourage anyone interested in joining the volunteer team to check out the different options and get in touch.
Here are some of the ways you can contribute:
* Contribute to research and development
* Become a guest blogger
* Become a book or movie reviewer
* Become a teacher advisor
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at info[@]samaracanada.com with your resume and a short cover note describing your interest in Samara and the areas in which you're interested in contributing. The biographies of our existing volunteers are here, and we would love to add you to the list.
LABELS:
